The Birthing Experience at Fisher-Titus
Mothers-to-be will experience the comfort and convenience of childbirth in one of our Labor-Delivery-Recovery (LDR) or Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum (LDRP) rooms.
LDR and LDRP rooms make the birthing process more comfortable for both mother and baby because the mother remains in the same room through various phases of delivery. The LDR and LDRP concept also permits greater participation from family members in the birthing process.
During her stay with us, the new mother will enjoy a private room and private shower, and can rest assured that her baby is lovingly cared for in our beautiful nursery.
Maternity patients should enter Fisher-Titus Medical Center's Birthing Center through the maternity entrance at the new FTMC Patient Pavilion on the northwest side of the campus.
FTMC Birthing Center
FTMC's Birthing Center occupies the fourth floor of the Pavilion providing families with a homelike atmosphere in a secure environment that is welcoming to families and friends.
Family Stay Room
The Birthing Centers Family Stay Room is available for parents to stay if their infant needs a few extra days of hospital care.
Postpartum Room
Four postpartum rooms accommodate C-section patients, babies and families with all the amenities of the LDRP rooms.
Nurses Station
The Nurses Station features soft curves and a view of the Lobby adding to the warm of the Birthing Center. Central maternal-fetal monitoring facilitates a team approach to care by allowing all caregivers to follow the patient's progress. Using this secure system, physicians can even monitor their patients from home via the Internet.
